What size are your bouncy castles & how much room is required?

 


  • Medium castles are:
  • Length: 4m
  • Width: 4.5m
    Height: 4m
    Set Up Area required: 6m x 6m

  • Larger castles are
    Length: 5m
    Width: 5m
    Height: 5m
    Set Up Area required: 6m x 7m

  • JUMBO castles are
    Length: 5.5m
    Width: 6m
    Height: 5m
    Set Up Area required: 11m x 7.5m

2.Q

How much access space is required to get the bouncy castle to the set up area?

 


Access ways need to allow for at least 1m of space, and for the larger Combo style castle at least 1.5meters of horizontal space is needed.

3.Q

What if there are steps to get to the set area?

 


If there are steps you will need to notify us when making the booking as the jumping castles weigh between 100kg and 180kg and it is difficult to manoeuvre up and down steps. As a general rule:

 


  • If there are less than 5 steps there needs to be someone on site that can help manoeuvre the jumping castle.

  • If there are more steps please let us know when making your booking....as the JUMBO castles can not do stairs.

How long does it take to set up the bouncy castle?

 


It takes 10 mins to set up the bouncy castle depending on the type of access.

How long does it take to dismantle the bouncy castle?

 


It takes 15 mins to dismantle the bouncy castle.

Who sets up the bouncy castle?

 


The bouncy castle will be set up and dismantled by a Maniacs staff member.

7.Q

Can we move the bouncy castle during the hire period?

 


No, please do not attempt to move the bouncy castle once set up due to safety requirements.

Are the set up and dismantling times included in the hire time?

 


No, Maniacs will set up the castle before the requested hire time starts and it will be taken down after the requested hire time concludes. We do request that there is clear access and there is room to manoeuvre the bouncy castle to the set up area.

How long can I have the bouncy castle?

 


Our standard hire time is 4 hours, minimum is two hours

10.Q

What is the latest time I can have the bouncy castle?

 


Depends on your location & time of the year: ie Daylight savings or Winter months.....please call with your ideas of times & we will see what we can do.

11.Q

Does someone need to supervise the operation of the bouncy castle?

 


Yes. For the safety of the children who will use the bouncy castle. A responsible adult over 18 years of age must supervise the jumping castle at all times.

12.Q

How and when is payment made?

 


If your castle hire is say this weekend then simply pay cash on the day when the castle is delivered.

If you are wanting to book a castle for say the 3rd of next month for example Batman then we require a small $20 dollar deposit to secure your choice of castles.For bookings in December we require no deposit now

 


  • If your wanting to pay with a cheque then please post it in at least 5 working days before your booking date.

  • Cash on delivery

 


Personal cheques will not be accepted within 5 days of the booking.We DO however accept CASH payment to the driver on the day of the hire.

Can I pay on the day of the hire?

 


You can pay on the day, but this must be done with CASH. If your castle hire is say this weekend & you are booking today then simply pay cash on the day when the castle is delivered.

If you have made an Advanced booking, a small $20 deposit MUST be paid in advance to secure your choice of castles, followed by full balance in cash on delivery. A $50 deposit is required for all December bookings.

Generator Hire for sites with no power.

 


Add an extra $50 to castle hire for a 4 hour petrol generator hire if required.

15.Q

What is the maximum age allowed on the bouncy castle?

 


All our bouncy castles have an age limit of 12 years. We recommend that the children using the bouncy castle are group according to age, and only children of a similar age and size use the bouncy castle at the same time for their own safety.

16.Q

Is there a weight limit?

 


Yes, there is weight limit. The weight limit varies depending on the size of the castle, but generally it is 450kg for the ‘Medium’ castle and 600kg for the ‘Large’ and ‘Jumbo’ castle.

What is the maximum number of children allowed on the castle at one time?

 


As long as the weight limit is not exceeded we recommend a maximum of 6-8 children on the ‘Medium’ bouncy castles and a maximum of 10-12 children on the ‘Large’ and ‘Jumbo’ bouncy castles.

18.Q

What happens if it rains?

 


In the event of (strong winds) (steady rain) (And ground been to wet and muddy) Maniacs reserve the right to cancel the booking if we feel safety will be compromised. In this case Maniacs will contact you on the day to discuss the matter.(Children And Safety come first at Maniacs Bouncy Castles Hire) We at Maniacs we suggest checking out weather on the Metservice 9 day forecast and making at decission 3 or 4 days prior you castle booking on having a plan (B)we suggest a hall hire.If you do decide on hall hire please let us know so we can make these changes to your booking.

Things you need to know when hiring a hall for castles, It needs to have clearance on sides and height as castle can not be rubbing on beams, lights or walls.

19.Q

What happens if we cancel ?

 


If you cancel within 7 days of the hire then you would lose your deposit, this can however be transferred to another day & date. In the event that the day is a washout, pouring with rain your deposit will be refunded.

What surface can the bouncy castle be set up on?

 


The bouncy castle can go on grass, dirt, as long as the area is flat, and there are no ridges i.e. between a changes of surfaces. Please inform us if the bouncy castle will be erected on a surface that does not allow for pegs to be used

Can the bouncy castle be in contact with walls or trees etc ?

 


No, the bouncy castle must be at least half a meter away from any object. If the bouncy castle is in contact with any object it may cause the bouncy castle to suffer abrasion damage. Also there may be a safety issue if the children on the castle make contact with the object.

What happens if we damage the bouncy castle?

 


If the damage is considered to be malicious then you will be liable for the full cost of repairs, transport costs associated with the repairs and the loss of business costs while the castle is repaired. We keep a record of the condition of our castles and would advise you to check the bouncy castle before the delivery person leaves, and note any problems.

Please be aware that streamers, party poppers, bubble machines, silly string, face paint, chewing gum, food and drink MUST be kept away from the bouncy castle at all times. There is a $80 spoilage / cleaning fee if the castle has the following in it on collection. If the above-mentioned items are in contact with the bouncy castle and it has been damaged it will be consider malicious and you will be liable for the full cost of repairs, transport costs associated with the repairs and the loss of business costs while the castle is repaired.

 

Can I use maniacs castles for personal profit!

No Maniacs property can not be hired for personal profits unless discussed and approved by Maniacs managemant team.If customer still insists of using maniacs property with out approval from maniacs management for personal profit maniacs have the right to take legal action.
